Using YouTube on Sweetr is very easy.
You'll need a YouTube membership. That's pretty easy to do too. Just visit the site, follow the instructions.
Make your video. I used my camera to make my videos.
When you've got your video done, upload it to YouTube. This is very easy to do; just follow their instructions.
If you don't already have a profile on Sweetr, you'll need to make one. Go ahead and login or sign up, then create a profile. While you're creating your profile, you'll get to the step where you'll be asked for your YouTube information. We're looking for your:
- YouTube Username
- Who you want to allow access to your videos, and
- An optional tag that we will use to filter your videos with.
If you already have a profile, the easiest way to hook up your videos is to go to your own profile web page. Mine is http://www.Sweetr.net/about/bobby+dassler. On that page, you'll have a little form show up that will allow you to enter your YouTube Username, your desired access for your videos, and your optional tag.
Once you've filled out that form and submitted it, your videos are hooked up to your Sweetr profile!
A few things to remember...
- We can only show your public YouTube videos. We can't access your videos that you've told YouTube not to make publicly accessible. This is the case even if you've told us you don't want everybody to see your videos. You can be assured that nobody will find out your YouTube Username from us, unless you've given them permission to access that information by making them your buddy, or by granting them access to your private media.
- If you don't use the optional tag, all your videos will show up in our video box. I've got a video of my son playing soccer on YouTube. I didn't want that showing up on my Sweetr Profile. So I used a tag - 'Sweetr'. This way, only videos that I've tagged as 'Sweetr' will show up.
Tagging the videos you want on Sweetr with 'Sweetr' is not a bad idea, if you don't mind people finding your profile. It will give you additional exposure on YouTube. Our job is to help you find the person of your dreams... so getting known isn't a bad thing. Just be safe about it. I'll talk more about safety in another topic.
